APC State Women Leaders Pass Vote of Confidence on National Woman Leader, Dr. Betta Edu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) State Women Leaders, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the party's National Woman Leader, Dr. Betta Edu.

The vote of confidence was expressed during a visit by Dr. Betta Edu to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.

The 37 State Women Leaders commended Dr. Edu's exceptional, inclusive, and responsive leadership, stating that she has effectively steered the ship of Women Emancipation in the country.

They also acknowledged her significant role in the last elections, and they expressed their unwavering support and appreciation for her contributions.

In a statement made available to journalists, 36 State Women Leaders were present, with one represented by a delegate.

The statement further mentioned that other women groups, including the Zonal and Female NEC members in APC, will also have the opportunity to meet the President, as the engagements will happen in batches.

"We understand their desire and anxiety to meet with Mr. President, and we assure them that the President will also be very happy to meet with them all. He runs an open-door policy.

However, the engagements will happen in batches, and more women will be involved. Let's be patient and rest assured that the request presented by the National Woman Leader and the women from the 36 states of the federation, as well as FCT, covered the interests of all Nigerian women and APC women in particular, who worked so hard for his victory in the last elections. Everyone will be rewarded in due course," the statement, signed by the media aide to the National Woman Leader, stated.
