Former Oyo State Governor Ladoja Sues Governor Makinde, Olubadan, and Others over Chieftaincy Dispute

In a recent development, former Governor of Oyo State, Rasidi Ladoja, has taken legal action against Governor Seyi Makinde, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Lekan Balogun, and other Ibadan High Chiefs who were recently promoted to the position of Obas, according to DAILY POST reports.

The lawsuit comes in response to the recent amendment of the Chiefs Law by the state House of Assembly, which resulted in the elevation of ten High Chiefs in Ibadan to the status of Obas. It is important to note that Ladoja has distanced himself from this promotion.

Ladoja, who is focused solely on the Olubadan crown, explained his lack of interest in any additional crowns.

The suit filed by Ladoja has been lodged at the Oyo State High Court. Details regarding the case can be found in court papers obtained by DAILY POST on Wednesday.
