I RECEIVED A JAMB TEXT MESSAGE INFORMING ME THAT I SCORED 249 MARKS - MMESOMA
5th July 2023
Mmesoma Ejikeme, the Anambra student who faced accusations of inflating her 2023 UTME result, recently confirmed a significant development. During an interview on Sunrise Daily, aired on Channels Television and monitored by The PUNCH, Mmesoma disclosed that she received an automated text message from JAMB, stating that her score was 249.
The revelation added another layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding Mmesoma's case. JAMB's spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, had earlier revealed that the candidate had sent multiple messages to the board's automated telecoms system, with results allegedly showing an aggregate score of 362.
In response to the allegations, Mmesoma clarified that she only sent one SMS to JAMB, specifically through its support system. However, she expressed disappointment at not receiving any response from them. Despite claims of using an Airtel line, Mmesoma clarified that she did not utilize a USSD code during the process.
Interestingly, Mmesoma recounted her experience checking her results via the USSD code. She explained that the score displayed through the USSD code was 360, which further added to the confusion and discrepancy in her reported scores.
When confronted with the claim that the feedback from JAMB indicated a score of 249, Mmesoma agreed, highlighting her frustration with the situation. She shared that she sent a text message through the JAMB Support System in an attempt to understand the actual sequence of events. Mmesoma firmly believed that if JAMB examined their system, they would find evidence of her message.
The PUNCH has been closely following the story of this embattled 19-year-old Anambra student, whose name has been thrust into the limelight due to the allegations of UTME score forgery. The unfolding events have captured public attention and continue to spark discussions nationwide.

Jamb should really check their system
