The Oba of Benin, Oba N’Edo Uku’Akpolokpol, Ewuare II, has called for the support of Nigerians towards President Bola Tinubu's administration. After a meeting with the President, the revered monarch expressed optimism that Tinubu will perform well in office and urged Nigerians to rally behind him.


According to the Oba of Benin, President Tinubu has already hit the ground running and his efforts are visible to all. He urged Nigerians and other traditional rulers to support the President to ensure his success. In a separate meeting, President Tinubu also met with former Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode. The meeting followed a previous encounter at a state reception organized by current Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Speculation suggests that Tinubu is considering Ambode for a role in his government, and this meeting may have served as a platform to finalize discussions on the matter.


Additionally, President Tinubu received Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, during his audience. The details of their discussion were not disclosed.
