Nollywood Legend Aki Appeals to Followers: Please Stop Begging for Money

Nollywood icon Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, took to Instagram to address a pressing issue: the incessant begging for money in his DMs. In a heartfelt video, Aki expressed his frustration, urging his followers to cease their financial pleas.

Aki started the video by expressing his dissatisfaction, stating that his DMs have turned into a constant stream of begging requests. He emphasized that he is not a financial institution and cannot fulfill everyone's monetary needs.

 “Guys, I dey vex o. I am not happy. This thing is getting out of hand. How can you people turn my DM to Bank of Industry? If I open my DM every time all I see is ‘oga, bros please…please… please…’ Jesus! It is too much. The way you guys dey beg this thing na like say we no get responsibility."

Understanding the economic challenges faced by Nigerians, Aki empathized with their struggles. However, he pleaded with them to stop making outrageous financial demands, as the economic crunch affects everyone.

Highlighting the extent of the issue, Aki revealed that the begging requests have even spilled over into his emails, emphasizing the overwhelming nature of the situation.

In conclusion, the veteran actor implored his followers to refrain from carrying their begging behavior onto the new microblogging app 'Threads,' and to respect the boundaries of social media platforms.

Aki's sincere plea serves as a reminder that celebrities, despite their success, cannot be expected to cater to every financial request.
