Peter Obi Denies Media Interview Speculating 2027 Presidential Run

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the February 25, 2023 election, has refuted claims of granting a media interview about his potential presidential run in 2027.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, Obi expressed concern over the emergence of fake media reports, clarifying that the alleged interview never took place.

He assured the public that he would continue to address national issues through recognized news and media outlets, emphasizing his commitment to the mission of building a new Nigeria and empowering the marginalized.

Obi secured the third position in the presidential election, with Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerging as the winner and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the runner-up. Both Obi and Atiku are currently in court, challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) declaration of Tinubu as the winner.
